In a distressing incident a water dealer had allegedly raped a minor taking advantage of the empty house. Based on the complaint, the police of Rajarhat police station arrested the accused Razzak Vaidya from Hadoa.
According to police sources, on the 26th of last month the victim's mother, a resident of Lauhati of Rajarhat lodged a written complaint at the Rajarhat police station that on the same day. The water dealer Razzak Baidya alias Bhutta (49) came to deliver water.
Taking advantage of the vacant house, he raped her minor daughter. Hearing the screams of the victim, people around came running. Sensing the growing crowd, the accused fled the scene.
However, following a complaint filed by the victim's mother, the Rajarhat police station took swift action and successfully apprehended the accused, Razzak, from Hadoa last night.
